Rebecca’s Story

Rebecca

Rebecca, BA/LLB (‘15)
Whilst studying at ANU I was fortunate to have travelled to the USA to attend the Intercollegiate Business Convention and the International Women in Business Summit, held by the Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business organization.

For me, this was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Meeting other students from across the world, as well as having access to industry leaders, business leaders, academics and those working in the not-for-profit sector, was truly amazing.
I learnt so much from this experience and I was pleased to be able to share this with friends and colleagues on my return to ANU.

This opportunity was only made possible through two scholarships I received. Without this support I would not have been able to afford to visit Harvard. Receiving these scholarships changed my life and I am truly grateful.

As I begin my career I feel confident knowing that I have an international network of incredible young women that are committed to improving opportunities for women in the workforce, globally.

It’s something I feel very passionate about, and now that I’m soon to be a graduate myself, I look forward to being able to give back to the University, so that I can help provide future students with the same opportunities that I’ve had.

By making a gift to the ANU Foundation USA, you can provide students, like me, with really invaluable opportunities that can enhance learning, open doors and, through international collaboration, change the world.
