The ANU North American Liaison Office (NALO) is a key component of the University’s international efforts by contributing to the enhancement of the profile and reputation of ANU in North America. NALO identifies and actively engages a range of key stakeholders to facilitate productive institutional and individual relationships in the areas of educational collaboration, research funding, public policy, alumni relations and student recruitment.

Increase opportunities available to ANU staff and students in North America. NALO identifies and fosters innovative collaborations in the form of exchange programs, internships, fellowships, and partnerships.

Expand existing and identify new funding opportunities in North America. NALO integrates with University staff and faculty to develop prospects from North American government grant making bodies and non-government philanthropic sources.

Contribute to the growth of the ANU profile and influence amongst North American policy makers and opinion leaders. NALO develops university partnerships and business collaborations that build recognition of ANU’s standing as Australia’s premier research and an institute of significant international standing.

Associate Director of Engagement and Outreach, Martha Evans, is responsible for managing the day-to-day administration of the office.
